What Makes Elite Structures LLC Stand Out in Quality?
When comparing portable buildings, they can look very similar from the outside. The real difference is in how they are built underneath, inside the walls, and above the ceiling.
At Boondocks Barns, that is one of the reasons we are proud to offer Elite Structures LLC. Their Amish-built buildings focus on construction details designed to add strength, durability, and long-term value. Elite also backs its workmanship with a 5-year craftsmanship warranty.
Quality Starts at the Foundation
4×6 Notched Treated Skids
Instead of simply setting the floor system on top of the runners, Elite uses notched 4×6 treated skids. The floor framing sits securely into the notched skid system, creating a stronger, more integrated foundation.
2×4 Treated Floor Joists – 16" On Center
A strong building starts with a strong floor system. Elite uses treated 2×4 floor joists spaced 16" on center on standard buildings.
For applications requiring additional floor strength, 12" on-center heavy-duty floor framing is available and is standard on certain garage models.
Premium LP Legacy® T&G Flooring
Elite doesn't stop at basic shed flooring.
Buildings feature 3/4" LP Legacy® Premium Tongue & Groove Subflooring, providing a strong, high-performance floor system with excellent moisture resistance.
This is especially important because your shed floor takes years of abuse from lawn equipment, storage totes, tools, ATVs, motorcycles, snow blowers and everyday foot traffic.
Stronger Wall Construction
Elite's standard wall construction includes:
2×4 wall studs spaced 16" on center, PLUS double 2×4 studs every 4 feet.
Those additional double studs add strength and rigidity throughout the wall system. It is one of those construction details you may not notice when simply looking at a finished shed—but it matters over the life of the building.
Heavy-Duty Metal Roof — With a Fully Sheeted Roof Deck
This is another area where Elite stands apart.
Elite's metal roofing isn't simply installed over open purlins. The roof is fully sheeted with 7/16" OSB before the metal roofing is installed.
That gives the roof a solid deck underneath the metal and creates a more substantial overall roof system.
Built-In Ventilation
Gable-end vents come standard on many Elite building styles.
Proper ventilation helps move hot, humid air out of the building and is another example of Elite including practical features in the standard construction rather than treating every detail as an upgrade.
LP® SmartSide® Siding
Elite offers LP SmartSide vertical siding as a standard siding choice, providing the appearance of traditional wood siding with engineered durability.
For customers looking for a different appearance, horizontal LP siding and other siding choices are also available.
Quality Is in the Details
The difference between a lower-priced shed and a quality-built shed isn't always obvious from across the lot.
Look underneath it.
Look at the floor framing.
Look inside the walls.
Look above the ceiling.
Ask what materials are being used.
With notched 4×6 skids, treated floor framing, LP Legacy flooring, 16" on-center wall construction with double studs every 4', a fully sheeted heavy-duty metal roof, and Amish craftsmanship, Elite Structures builds beyond simply making a shed look good.
They build from the inside out.
Built for Illinois. Built for Everyday Use. Built to Last.
At Boondocks Barns, we believe customers should know exactly what they're buying and understand the construction behind their investment.
That's why we're proud to offer Elite Structures LLC Amish-built buildings.
Quality isn't just what you can see — it's what's behind the siding, under the floor, and beneath the roof.
