    Everlast Portable Buildings and Westside Portable Livestock Buildings are an Amish family owned manufacturing company that builds portable buildings for all your needs.
  • May I come visit your location?
    We would love to have you stop by and look at our shop and meet you. For safety purposes we do ask for you to make an appointment to visit the manufacture locations.
  • Why should I buy a backyard shed?

  • Can I customize a building?

  • Do I need a Permit?
    In most cases yes. Town's and Counties all have different regulations, contacting the building dept. is the best way of finding out what they will require of you. If buying a portable building be sure to explain that it is a movable structure. All Permits are the responsibility of the homeowner.
  • If I pull the permits do you provide drawings?
    We do not provide any type of drawings.
  • What if I am asked for a General Contractor License?
    Amish do not carry any type of licenses or insurance. Amish follow most laws However, there are some legal exceptions related to schooling, workplace regulations, and insurance requirements. The Amish put extra detail and extra care into every single thing they do, which makes them excellent builders. Amish people pride themselves on taking the extra step, doing even more than most. Some city's will allow the homeowner to be there own general contractor.
  • What do I need to place an order?
    Everlast Portable Buildings requires 10% down on most builds. If the building is a larger custom build more down maybe required. When placing an order the 10% down will be waived from the 3% processing fee for cards. Your balance will be due to the Transportation Driver at time of delivery. If using a card to pay off the balance the 3% processing fee will be applied. For Rent To Own you will need the Total Required down fee. That is the First months rent and Taxes, Security Deposit and a 35.00 Processing Fee for MORSpace Rentals.
  • Do I have to come to the sales lot to purchase?
    We always suggest coming to the sales lot to see the product first hand. You will see the quality of the buildings in all the detail. Colors are particularly difficult to replicate Online and even harder in our printed catalog. We can send photos of colors by cell phone as they have a much truer color. Please ask and we will be happy to do that for you. You also can text Sue @ 815-780-0561 and request them to be sent to you. There are many options to consider and doing that in person is always best. We have had great responses from our 3D design tool Online, which has made the buying process on the phone or by email much easier. We will do our best to ensure your building is exactly what you are intending to buy.
  • Can I choose door and window location?
    Yes, your building is built to your order so you can customize layout, colors, and many other things.
  • What happens if I need to cancel?
    If the building is not built and there was nothing special ordered for your building,(Stock Building) we will refund your deposit less 10% . If the building has been built there is a 25% restocking fee. If a delivery attempt is made and the building can not be delivered do to weather conditions, not a clear path, obstacles in the way, fences not being removed, unlevel ground, not proper permitting, not enough space. A trip fee charge will be applied ,deposit forfeited and a restocking fee. Custom order buildings are not returnable.
  • What are the steps to purchase a building?
    Check for permitting in your area& view the delivery video and F.A.Q. section on the website. All permits are the responsibility of the homeowner. Design and purchase your building. Your delivery window will be set when you purchase your building. Once the building has been built, the manufacturer will call you to set up a delivery time. Sit Preparation. You are responsible for a level site within 6" of level. The Transport Team can level with treated blocks within 6". Any site prep or removing fences should be done before they arrive. Delivery Day! If you have a Balance Due on delivery, please make checks out to the manufacturer on your delivery process sheet or invoice, and give it to the driver. If you are paying by Credit Card, Payment should be made the day before by calling directly with the card number. Please keep in mind that there is a 3% service charge on all cards.
  • Are your prices fixed?
    Yes, we have 4 different price zones throughout Illinois. We strive to keep the pricing the lowest as possible and the quality at the highest. This does not leave room to offer the discounts some of the competitors do, since we already offer the best product for the best price.
  • Can I finance my building?
    Yes you can, ask us about our financing options. You can apply for financing from RTO National right from our website.
  • Is Rent to Own a good option?
    That depends on your situation. If you are looking to use RTO for leasing you do end up paying quite a bit more if you go the full 36 month term but if you are already paying for a storage unit and the shed could replace the storage unit then RTO is a great option. Rent to Own is not financing. You are Paying Rent on top of your shed payment.
  • Does the Amish Builders offer any Discounts?
    The builders strive to keep the pricing the low as possible and the quality at the highest. This does not leave room to offer the discounts some of the competitors do, since we already offer the best product for the best price.
  • Where do the portable buildings come from?
    We source from our Amish builder in Sullivan and Arcola, Illinois We have been together and have enjoyed a great relationship throughout the years. We take pride in our small business by supporting another Illinois small business. The Amish take great pride in their craftsmanship skills and offer a 10 year Craftsmanship Warranty.
  • Does putting a portable building on my property raise my property taxes?
    Portable Buildings are movable structures and not permanent so therefore are not usually added to your property value. You will be required to pay sales tax on the purchase. Regulations are constantly changing so it is best to ask your local office to make sure.
  • What do I do if I have no excess to my yard?
    Everlast Portable Buildings offers a Build On Site option. We will send an Amish crew that will assembly your building on your property.
  • Do you remove fences?
    Transport Companies does not remove fencing. We suggest having your original fence contractor take down the fence and then put it back up when we are done with building installation. Everlast Portable Buildings will coordinate with you as to delivery date and time so you don't have to live too long with the fence down. Usually 1 day will do it. We also offer On Site Building as an option.
  • Can my building be moved later on?
    Yes we move buildings all the time. The cost will depend on size of the building, how far it is being moved and the difficulty of the pick up and delivery. Also if any special permitting is required with D.O.T.
  • Can I get a building without a floor?
    Built on Site buildings can be installed on a concrete pad without a floor. You will need to provide a concrete slab that is square and level the size of the building you are ordering and be not more than 6" of grade. Please check your codes in your area for requirements. Build On site pricing is in the catalog on page 29. Everlast will anchor the building to the concrete pad.
  • How long does it take to get my building?
    Our typical lead time is 4-5 weeks although it varies with the time of year. Your shed is made to order (unless of course you bought a in stock building). In stock buildings are delivered with in 7-10 business days from Granville lot, although this also could vary with time of year. Deliveries off of Boondocks Barns Lot could be as soon as the next day for in stock buildings. For Build On Site buildings lead times are normally 2-3 months again depending on orders. They only do so many Build on sites per month. This allows more workers in shop.
  • What is LP Smart Siding?
    LP Smart Siding is manufactured by London Pacific Building Products LP Smart Siding and Trim are treated with proprietary SmartGuard process. With four components of protection, the process adds strength and helps the product with-stand impacts, freeze/thaw cycles, high humidity, fungal decay and termites. LP Smart Siding comes already primed to the factory. LP Building Products offer a Prorated 50 Year Limited Warranty
  • What type of Paint or Urethane is used?
    Since 1913, Haley Paint has been a leading manufacturer and distributor of premium quality finishes for exterior applications. From their headquarters in Lancaster, PA, they serve outdoor structure manufacturers and their customers throughout North America. Both Urethane and Paint carries a 10-Year No Fade Guarantee, 25-Year Adhesion Promise from Haley Paint. Urethane offers a beautiful stained appearance while Paint is a solid opaque color. Both are applied on LP Smart Siding.

  • Does the buildings ever go on sale?
    Everlast Portable Buildings strive to keep the pricing the lowest as possible and the quality at the highest. From time to time we may have a used building that has been discounted, or a shed that has been older.
  • What is a green treated floor weight capacity?
    On the standard flooring, 16" on centers, 20 lbs per sq ft. On a heavy-duty floor, 12" on centers, 30 lbs per sq ft
  • How many chicken can I put in my chicken coop?
    A good guideline is to aim for 3-4 square feet of indoor coop space per chicken, and 8-10 square feet in the run.Larger breeds may require more space, with some recommendations stating at least 4 square feet per bird indoors.More space, especially in the run, is generally preferred
  • What do I need for site prep?
    All buildings flooring systems are built with treated wood. So they can be placed right on the ground. Make sure to leave good air flow under your shed. On sheds we recommend making a Gravel pad 1’ bigger than your shed the whole way around. We recommend a 6" CA-6 compacted and level in all direction. For Double Wide buildings, and Build on site buildings with no floor you want to put down a 4’’ concrete slab with footers.
  • Can you take care of site prep?
    We do not do any ground work. We can recommend business for you that have installed many pads for our customers. We only require the are to be level within 6". The delivery personal will level your building using treated wood.
  • Can I use concrete blocks or pillars?
    We do not recommend setting sheds on concrete blocks or pillars due to settling. If you use concrete blocks or pillars it voids the warranty of the building
  • Can you get rid of my old shed?
    Sorry we do not get rid of old sheds. We have had customers post on local sales groups that have had great luck with this task. We can also relocate some styles of buildings.
  • Is a site check an option?
    Before we come out for a site check we will ask you to send us pictures for the area in question. If it is determined the a site check is needed, we ask that you stake off the area that you want to place the building and we will stop by to assess your situation when we have someone in the area. Most times we will call you with findings to discuss your options.
  • How are the buildings delivered?
    Your new building will be delivered with our specially designed shed handling equipment. It will arrive on a tilting bed trailer and will be unloaded on the street or your driveway. We’ll then use our ‘Mule’ to maneuver it into position on your property. With its compact size and flotation tires, the mule does quite well in tight situations or with damp ground conditions.
  • What is required for delivery?
    It is required that you have 2ft clearance on each side of your building and 16’ high to bring your building onto your property. The mule will need a clearance of 4’ on each Gable end as this will be the side that is used to place your building. The mule is not able to pick your building up and place it on a foundation of any kind. It is used to drive over and place. The mule also can not jump blocking or curbing. If at the time of the first delivery attempt it is not the correct conditions such as yard being to wet, snow covered, or not the correct requirements and second delivery is required a fee will be charged.   • What are lead times?
    Normal lead times to have a building delivered off the lot is 1-2 weeks. To have a custom built building delivered is 3-4 weeks. To have a Build on Site building it is 6-8 weeks. These times may vary through out the season. Also can be effected by weather conditions.
  • What is required for site prep?
    You are only required to have a level ground within 6" of the building. We do recommend a CA -6 compacted pad. The pad should be 2' wider and 2' longer than the building. For example if you have a 10x16 building you will want your pad to be 12x18. This will give your building a nice support and distribute the weight. It will provide good drainage and air flow under your building to keep moisture away. This can be done by the customer or we can also provide for a pad to be installed. Cost will depend on size and the levelness of site. We do require pictures for pads. If you will be supplying a concrete pad please check the regulations in your area.
  • What about ruts?
    We try our best to not make ruts in your yard. Some soil conditions are more prone to ruts than others. Sandy soil, although it drains well, will rut easily when making even slight turns. We are not responsible for damage to your yard while we are making a delivery. Please read the property damage waiver.
  • Is delivery included in the price?
    When you buy or rent to own a building from Everlast Portable Buildings, we will deliver your building for FREE within 30 miles of your local dealer. Initial placement of building is also included.
  • Does the building need to sit on gravel or concrete?
    The only requirement is a level location. Our buildings are designed to rest directly on their skids. In order to level the building we use treated wood blocks. If you would like to have your building on concrete blocks, we only require that you provide the blocks. Fee is charges for block placement from delivery person. For the New Lakeside Cabin model it is required to have on a compacted gravel pad or concrete pad. For the Double Wide Buildings it is required to have a concrete slab.
  • What is recommend for a gravel pad?
    Labor & Material to Install a Rock Pad. Defined as an area excavated 4"-6" Deep and 6"of rock compacted at least twice and leveled in all directions. A 7' in width opening is required for equipment. All extra soil can be removed from site.
  • Failed delivery attempts
    If a delivery attempt is made and the building can not be delivered do to weather conditions, not a clear path, obstacles in the way, fences not being removed, unlevel ground, not proper permitting, not enough space. A trip fee charge will be applied and the deposit forfeited. Custom order buildings are not returnable.
  • Do you deliver on weekends?
    If your building is on our Granville Lot and you are within 30 miles we can arrange for Weekend or after 4pm during the week deliveries. If your building is coming straight from the plant. Weekend and after 3pm deliveries are not available.
  • How far do you travel?
    We delivery in Illinois. We can delivery to out of state but there is a fee associated with that.
  • How much room do I need to get my building in?
    Typically you will need an opening 2’ – 3’ wider than the building, Example. If you have a 14’ wide shed you should have a 16’ – 17’ wide opening.
  • I have a 3’ or 6’ wide gate what should I do?
    We can either build the building onsite for an additional cost or you can have the fence taken down prior to delivery
  • Do you take down fences?
    Unfortunately we don’t take down fences, it is your responsibility to take down the fence prior to delivery. If we arrive onsite and do not have access there is an additional charge.
  • When does my building get delivered?
    Our deliveries happen from Monday- Friday. Our dispatcher will normally give you a 3-4 hour time frame of approximant arrival. Once your building is built you will receive a call to schedule your delivery.
  • Does the truck need to go into my yard?
    No, our delivery drivers have small forklifts on the truck called the “Mule”. 2 sets of flotation wheels go on 1 side of the building and then the mule goes on the other side and can pull the shed right into place.
  • Will my yard be damaged?
    The mule is very good at not causing yard damage, you will have tire marks pressing down the grass and if it is muddy you may have small tracks in your yard. If you are concerned you can get some rubber mats that eliminates any damage.
  • How long will the driver be at my house?
    Normally we figure less than 1 hour for a shed delivery, if it is a double wide garage it may take the driver 1-2 hours. For build on sites the office can give you that time when your building is scheduled for delivery.
  • Will you anchor the building?
    On sheds we have DYI anchor kits that you can purchase and you can install.
  • What are the payment options?
    Boondocks Barns LLC accepts cash and check. We also except cards with a 3% service charge. These charges are done manually and you will not see the transaction for a few days on your account. We also Provide a 36 month Rent To Own Option thru MORSpace Rentals LLC you can view a contract here We also Offer Financing thru RTO National and you can apply right online. If you have submitted for a quote please note that in the note section when applying.
  • Is Financing and Rent To Own Available?
    We work with RTO National for Financing. This requires a credit check and terms will be agreed on before purchasing, providing a variety of financing options with approved credit. We also have a Rent-To-Own option on most buildings thru MORESpace Rental. Rent to own is non credit based so no credit check is done. It is not financing. It is Rent To Own so you are paying rent on top of your payment for the building to till terms are paid in full. There is no penalty for paying off early. We offer 24,36,48 & 60 months on most buildings depending on size. We will need a valid state issue ID and your Social security Number for both Financing and Rent To Own.
  • Do you accept credit card?
    We take a max of $10,000 on a credit card. There is a is a 3% merchant fee on all card transactions. This fee is waived for the 10% deposit. All credit card payments for balance due on delivery must be paid in the office the day before delivery.
  • Can I pay with personal check?
    Yes, you do not need a certified or cashier’s check.
  • How much of a deposit do you need?
    For buildings being bought out right a 10% deposit is required. For Rent To Own and Financing your deposit will vary.
  • Can I pay with cryptocurrency?
    We do not accept Bitcoin, Ethereum or Litecoin
  • Is there an additional cost to building on site?
    Yes. We will send a crew to your site with all the materials needed to assemble your shed. The cost will depend on the size, style, siding choice, and location. The minimum fee is $1600.00.
  • Can you build a custom portable building?
    Absolutely! You can design a portable building right on our website. We can also do custom sizes and designs that are not in the program. We would be happy to supply you with a custom quote @ https://shedview.boondocksbarns.com
  • Can I get paint colors to match my house?
    Yes, Everlast offers a custom paint color match with Sherwin Williams for 125.00 per color. You will need to get the Code from Sherwin Williams using Base A-100. Then the custom paint will be ordered through Sherwin Williams and delivered to the Amish Builders.
  • Can I get the vinyl siding that matches my house?
    Yes, We can custom order in different siding. There will be a upgrade fee. That fee will depend on the price of siding when quote is given.
  • Can I get the shingles that matches my house?
    Yes, Custom shingles can be ordered. We will need the manufacture information from your shingles. We will then call and get a quote for them. Most generally there will be an upgrade fee charged.
  • Can you have the interior finished?
    Yes we offer interior walls, interior door ways, insulation, different types of flooring and even electrical packages. For built on Site some options as in Electrical and Foam Insulation can not be provided. For Electrical Packages for delivered buildings it is customers responsibility to connect electric to inside of box.
  • Do you offer Interior finishing's as in Electric, Insulation, Flooring Options, and Interior Finishing's.?
    Most of our buildings are available with an optional 100 Amp Electrical Packages which includes outlets, light switches, and breaker boxes. Light fixtures are not included. We do not however connect power to your shed, it is your responsibility to get the power to the shed and connected to the Breaker Box, We also Offer 1" and 2" Closed Spray Foam Insulation, R-19 Batt Insulation. Interior wall finishing are also available with LP Smart Siding in primed and painted interiors and also wainscot trims. Along with Vinyl and LuxGuard Floorings. This options are not available on Build On Site buildings.
  • Do you provide skirting for around the outside of buildings.?
    No, For the purpose that you want to keep good air flow under your building. This allows moisture to not accumulate and cause issues.
  • Should I get a ramp?
    A Ramp is a popular option if you are looking to drive your lawn mower or cars into your building or if you don’t want to step up into your building.
  • Should I get someone to do Site Prep?
    Site preps is definitely one of the most popular options. We recommend a CA-6 Compacted Pad for most of our styles and require a concrete slab for the Double Wide's. for your building. We do have a few businesses that we can recommend to you for site prep.
  • What is the warranty on a building?
    Everlast Portable Buildings guarantee our buildings to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ten years. All exposed pressure treated wood has a lifetime limited manufacturer warranty against termites and fungal decay. Painted treated siding has a LP SmartSide® 50-year warranty against decay, termites and delamination.
  • What type of warranty do you offer?
    Everlast offers a 10 Year Craftmanship Warranty. Please check out our warranty page for manufacture warranties.
  • I lost my keys can I get a replacement?
    Yes you can get a replacement key by knowing the key code on the lock. You can purchase online at
  • Can I get some paint to match my building to paint my fence or home?

  • What do I do if my shed has been damaged by a storm?
    Take pictures and send into the office and we can give you a estimate to have a crew come out and repair it.
  • What if I have a warranty issue?
    Call to the office and we can start the process for you.
